I have worked in many medias including painting, drawing, sculpture, film and animation, but the central drive to all my work is the story. What characters are being created, how are they connecting to this reality, and why is that significant? With this process I am consistently challenging myself to use symbolism, and imagery, as a method of enhancing the depth of my characters, as well as to create social commentaries.

 

I am inspired by graphic novels and comics and their combination of minimal dialogues and imagery to create highly empowering ideas. I find the most inspiration from stories with emotional messages that create strong moral opinions on tribe, love, intellect, and life style.

Motivated by these works I continue to hone my skill sets. This includes repetitious drawing, embedding symbolism, and creating alternate worlds where audiences vicariously live through other characters.
